#6 WorldCat - continued

**Please note that I did the WorldCat separately. (It was placed in the wrong order because it was put as 8:30 a.m.) Anyway...
I checked out the Databases in WorldCat - WOW!! they are impressive!!
  1. OCLC - journal articles about: business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social sciences, and technology
  2. ClasePeriodica - Latin American index of documents published. Clase specializes in social sciences & humanities. Periodica specializes in science and technology
  3. Ebooks - catalog of online electronic books available online. I looked up Shakespeare - I checked out Midsummer's Night Dream. I had 30 minutes to read the full text online. (really easy to see!). I could have saved to a file too. Very neat!
  4. Electronic Collections Online - scholarly journals online
  5. ERIC - Published & Unpublished sources on Education
  6. GPO - government doc's
  7. Medline - all areas of medicine including dentistry & nursing
  8. OAIster - digital resources: books, audio files, images, movies
  9. PapersFirst - Papers presented at conferences
  10. Proceedings - Conference proceedings
  11. WorldAlmanac - Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia & 4 almanacs
  12. WorldCat Dissertations - dissertations & thesis

I checked out OAIster. I went to the South Dakota section and found numerous topics I was interested in. I checked out the article Vegetative Characteristics of Swift Fox Denning and Foraging Sites in Southwestern South Dakota by Daniel W. Uresk, Kieth E. Severson and Jody Javersak. Very interesting article. I then checked out an early etching of Fort Pierre with a Native American settlement.
