What I learned from the South Dakota Library Summer Challenge
1. I learned that I didn't have any idea what resources were available!! I am new to this position. The other teachers/librarians I worked with didn't know about these resources either. WOW! I am so excited to dive in even deeper and explore! Thank you!
2. How will I promote the Library Electronic Resources
a. students - Today I had 2 Seniors asking about College testing materials. We just bought some new test prep materials and then I showed them the Learning Express Library and they were so excited. I showed them how to create an account. They were so excited! What a wonderful tool!
b. colleagues - I plan on making everyone color printouts of all of the electronic resources we examined. I will then ask my administrators if I can present on 1 a month. We have monthly meetings in our school library so it will be a perfect opportunity!! I know they will love Learning Express Library, CAMIO, and many of the other great resources!! Thank you again for this wonderful experience! It will help so many teachers and students around our state.
